Spray Foam Applications

We offer our customers both open or closed cell spray foam. Open or closed cell spray foam air seals any area where it's applied. When closed cell foam is used it creates a vapor barrier that is resistant to mold or mildew. Spray foam won't be damaged by water and won't shrink or settle over time. You can use spray foam on any new, retrofit, commercial or industrial building. Spray foam can be installed in attics, open walls and crawlspaces, including rim  joists, foundation exteriors and exteriors in contact with water.

Open Cell Spray Foam
Our open cell spray foam is semi-rigid, 1/2 pound per cubic foot and is low density. This type of spray foam is designed for indoor use only. This open cell spray foam has an R-value of up to an R-4.5 per inch.
Advantages of Open Cell Foam
  • Lower cost than closed cell spray foam
  • Better expansion than closed cell spray foam
  • Open cell foam is very versatile
  • Forms an air barrier
  • Great soundproofing material
Disadvantages of Open Cell Foam
  • Avoid use in an area where contact with water is possible (crawl space, rim joist or basement)
  • Lower R-value than closed cell foam
Closed Cell Spray Foam
Our closed cell spray foam is a rigid, high density foam that is 2 pounds per cubic foot. Closed cell foam has an R-value of up to an R-7 per inch. This type of foam is ideal for small areas where a product with higher R-value is needed as well as where it may come in contact with water.
Advantages of Closed Cell Foam
  • Can be used indoors and outdoors
  • Useful as an air seal
  • High R-value per inch
  • Adds strength to framing or sheathing
  • Forms a moisture barrier
  • Greater resistance to leakage of air or water vapor
Disadvantages of Closed Cell Foam
  • More expensive as material does not go as far
  • Not as effective at soundproofing as open cell foam
